The World of 1898 The Spanish/American War The library of Congress maintains this site. It offers an overview of the war. You will find maps and information about the countries involved in this war.

Yellow Fever and the Spanish/American War This site has information on the role yellow fever played in the war. It is maintained by the University of Virginia Health System.
