  • Geography Quiz : Quizzes over state capitals and level three is figuring out where a state is located.

Earth Systems This is a middle school site that explains all about plate tectonics, cycles, diversity, adaptation, geologic time, and biomes!

Powers of Nature This site was put together by a 7th grade class to teach about natural disasters.

Savage Earth This is a PBS online site. It has quite a bit of information about volcanoes, earthquakes, the earth's crust, and tsunamis.

Inventors and their Inventions

Inventions This is a National Geographic site. It has invention games. Guess what inventions happened by accident, try to figure out what several inventions are for, put the steps of creating an invention in chronological order, match older inventions with their newer counterparts, and guess what time period that items were invented. I bet you didn't know that the ancient Eygptians invented automatic doors!

Invention Dimension This site belongs to MIT. Each week a different inventor is featured.

The History of Invention This has a list of inventions beginning in 3000 B.C. and continuing up to the present! It also offers a teacher's guide.

AAA Math This site has every grade level and all skills! It is totally comprehensive!

Math Mayhem This is a very fun, basic addition, multiplication, subtraction and division game. All the kids love it! They compete against each other. There are also some other fun math games at this site.

Math for Morons This is a thinkquest site. It has quizzes and tutorials for just about any mathematical applications you can think of! It is a great homework resource.

Mrs. Schleicher's Wonderful Math WebQuest! This was written by Mrs. Schleicher just for you! You all should feel very special!

Abilene Public Library Kids Explore the Web There are a lot of links for kids to find out information about other religions.

Castle Learning Center This is a very student friendly site. They can study castle architecture as well as get an understanding of what life was like.

Castles on the Web This is an wonderful source of information. Castles and their history from the earliest times can be found here. Lots of good graphics and explanatory text.

Castle of King Edward This is a very interesting site filled with good information.

Castles This page has layouts of a castle and discusses the methods of construction.

Internet Medieval Sourcebook This site has lots of information about happenings in the medieval times. Also includes links to Jewish happenings and Islamic History. Check this site out, there is lots of great information.

Middle Ages This site is maintained by the Annenberg/CPB Project. It is well designed and looks at feudalism, religion, homes, clothing, health, and town life.

Mr. Dowling's Electronic Passport This site has to be seen to be believed! This is a fantastic collection of information and links. It has information about all the different historical eras.

Nova Online Information about the Medieval Siege.

Sir Clisto Seversword's Tome of Adventure & Knowledge There are over 50 chapters of information to be found. It offers an idea about what daily life was like.

The Byzantine Empire This site covers the years 312 until 1453.

The Battle of Hastings This is an in depth look at the battle. There are more than 300 graphics combined with extensive text.

Virtual Renaissance This is a highly visual virtual tour. It has to be seen to be experienced!
